Why hello there!

My name is Sophie Corrigan (also known as LadyAxolotl on Instagram) and I live in a little village in Lancashire, UK. I'm currently working my dream job as a freelance illustrator and author! I have an Illustration BA (first) and a Children's Book Illustration MA (distinction) from the University of Central Lancashire, and have a real passion for creativity. 

I've been lucky enough to have produced work for a number of lovely clients, and these include ~ Bloomsbury, Chronicle Books, Tesco Magazine, Hallmark Cards, Moonpig, Ohh Deer, Jellycat, Healthy Planet, Felt Studios, Digitas Health LifeBrands, Boomf, Mindapples and CardNest. My work has also been stocked by Waterstones, John Lewis, Foyles, Barnes and Noble, Paperchase, Urban Outfitters, Walmart, Target, Sainsbury's, Clinton Cards, Hot Topic, Topshop, Tesco, The Range, Ryman Stationery, Calendar Club, SOMA Gallery, Yard Gallery, ASOS and the RSPCA shop... phew!!



I spend my spare time going to shows, travelling, learning about nature and history, eating vegan food, hanging out with my pet cockatiels, and occasionally making cute little sculptures or experimenting with art materials and printmaking.
