I'd wanted to create an Animal Anatomy book since I first drew Anatomy of a Chicken in 2013, and it somehow actually happened. The book features loads of new 'Anatomy of...' illustrations, along with a hand-picked selection of animal facts and commentary by me.

I’m completely obsessed with animals and had already drawn a bunch of Anatomy images when the book was proposed, so it never once felt like work. I had complete creative freedom with the book, too - I designed the entire layout and flow from front cover to back cover (which I really thank Chronicle for, I loved every minute). It’s really my daft little passion project!

Animal Anatomy was selected by Powell's to appear at their point of sale for a special 2-week promotion starting 9th April 2019. It was the only title on display here at every one of their stores!
