The (Not) BAD Animals

I was so delighted that my passion project The (Not) BAD Animals was published on the 7th April 2020 by Frances Lincoln! Working on this title (and Animal BFFs below) was the most wonderful experience and I learnt so much in the process.

They're the two books I'm most proud of, I think!

The idea behind this book came from a small project I did back in 2012, 'Not Evil Animals'. It was a fun little illustrated series which aimed to stop the amount of bad press certain animals get, and I began to develop the idea further with the lovely Claire Grace at Quarto (a non-fiction children's imprint of Frances Lincoln) in late 2018. It's now become something I could have never imagined - a complete book bursting with facts and cute 'creepy' animals - and I hope it helps children (and parents!) gain a new respect and understanding of those animals that have such an un-deserved BAD press.

Much like Animal Anatomy, it was a dream book project for me. It's the largest, most intricate book I've worked on, and I loved every minute of it. As of 2021, The (Not) Bad Animals has sold in over 14 territories around the world and has been translated into a number of different languages worldwide!

Animal BFFS: Even Animals Have Best Friends

My sequel book Animal BFFs: Even Animals Have Best Friends was published in the UK on the 15th March 2022 by Quarto of Frances Lincoln and on 26th April 2022 in the US!

I explain that even animals have best friends in my follow-up toThe (Not) BAD Animals, and if you pre-ordered the book you'd have received an exclusive deer and turkey print!

More info about the book:

Someone that's always there for them through thick and thin, to help them out with all of the usual things that friends do. You know, like picking ticks off your back, letting you know when a lion is about to make you its dinner and helping you hunt down some tasty prey.
